Historic train: brunch on 1 August

To celebrate the 1st of August, Ferrovia Vigezzina Centovalli invites you to spend the traditional celebration on board the historic train.

A great occasion for a double celebration: the National Day and the 100th anniversary of the railway line. Treat yourself to a romantic journey through the picturesque and wild landscape of the Centovalli, among rivers, waterfalls and dizzying bridges. In Camedo you can enjoy the traditional Brunch offered by the Osteria Grütli in Camedo. The programme will be enlivened by the notes of the accordion by Ivo Maggetti.

Travelling on the historic train you will be catapulted into a time-honoured atmosphere. The train runs between Locarno and Camedo at a maximum speed of 40 km/h, giving passengers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.

A unique travel experience created by the collaboration between Ferrovia Vigezzina Centovalli and SEFT (Società Esercizio Ferroviario Turistico).

The historic train consists of the 1963 ABDe 6/6 electric train.
